We use USPS, UPS and DHL. Rates are based on current service rates and are subject to change. For the majority of items we ship in deluxe padded bubble mailers with bags and boards for added protection or with cardboard book mailers. Larger orders will be finely packed as well. The Bleakness provides a uniquely punishing atmospheric horror experience where failure and death are all but certain. Take to an ancient road as pilgrims struggling for survival against the wilderness and the horrors that haunt it. Simple and engaging survival mechanics keep tension high and ensure that danger is always present.
Heavily inspired by folk horror and the wilds of the PNW, The Bleakness is a great change-of-pace game, with a campaign lasting between 10 and 20 hours on average.

The Bleakness is an excellently constructed horror sandbox RPG and a lot of fun! The mechanics and systems are intuitive enough to quickly get started and the settings make even small choices feel as though they are of the utmost importance. The graphics and layout of the illustrations are phenomenal, but the game really shines in its descriptions of the geographical settings, making it feel like a real deserted church or a dripping root-gnarled grotto. The Bleakness ensures that the atmosphere of despair and dogged perserverence is preserved, so for players who love grime-ridden settings like the 'Dark Souls' series or 'The Last of Us' will love to play in this world. Looking forward to more games like this one!
I really hate to leave a less-than-stellar review for a game. I’m doing so to help better inform other potential buyers as there just isn’t much information on this game besides the brief description. The lore is incredibly novel and fascinating, so please buy this book for inspiration if you enjoy the description and want more. I was looking at it as a potential game for traveling in this strange world, and it would take some significant work to accomplish this satisfactorily. Overall, I think this could’ve used some more playtesting and a couple more editing passes. The art was evocative, but didn’t always work for me and included some unexpected nudity several times. I hope the creator continues producing work, and I’ll look into future projects. This one just wasn’t what I’d hoped, especially for the price.
