DNGN #1 + PDF

DNGN #1 is the first issue of a risographically printed zine that takes place in a megadungeon.

Each issue will cover ten levels of the dungeon. It's cover-to-cover of classic B/X monsters, magic items, encounters, secret doors, and old-school fun! It is a quick and easy resource of adventure material that a referee can use at the
gaming table with no prep. DNGN is designed to work as a complete megadungeon adventure, or for levels be dropped directly into your pre-existing campaign setting.

Influences:

The layout of DNGN is inspired by the one-page dungeon format, with one level fully described on a two-page spread.

DNGN is influenced by ideas from weird-fantasy, sword & sorcery, sci-fi, and post-apocalyptic genres.

The history of megadungeons in the OSR were also an influence, including campaigns such as Stonehell Dungeon (2009) by Michael Curtis; Anomalous Subsurface Environment (2012) by Patrick Wetmore; Gunderholfen (2020) by G. Hawkins and The Halls of Arden Vul (2020) by Richard Barton.

Rules Compatibility:

DNGN is designed for use with Old-School Essentials, and can easily be used with other OSR systems that are derived from the original B/X rules.

Inside:

  • 44 pages.
  • 10 dungeon levels, each with a map, random tables and room features.
  • 80+ rooms to explore, filled with monsters, features and encounters with a weird-fantasy vibe.
  • A bonus four-page dungeon ‘HUSK’, with maps by @skullfungus.
  • Random tables for encounters and loot!
  • Beautiful graphic design and page layout.
  • Ease of use, a two-page spread contains a dungeon map and descriptions of all the keyed locations.
  • Designed for ease of use at the table, so a referee can run the dungeon with little or no preparation.

Risographic Printing:

DNGN is produced using a risographic printer. Risography is a print process that gives the zine a retro, hand-made look and feel. It will also make the zine very collectible. The risograph process prints solid colors on stunning vellum paper, and is an environmentally friendly way to produce printed matter.

WE DO NOT HOLD ITEMS

Essentially it is the same as above. We adore all of you and strive to give you the best possible customer experience possible but inventory tracking not only for us but for our vendors and partners makes this almost impossible to do now.

PRE-ORDERED ITEMS

Pre-order dates are subject to change. We get as frustrated as you do when things come up but this happens from time to time. Sometimes circumstances beyond our control will create delays. We try to communicate via social media and our weekly newsletter to keep everyone as up to date as possible.

All items in an order containing pre-orders will ship with the pre-order item once it is in stock. If you would like the other items earlier, please place a seperate order from the one containing the pre-order.

We cannot combine pre-orders with existing orders nor combine new orders with existing pre-orders.

Pre-orders will be exempt from any type of general sale.
